But in Bristol, this particular deadline day will be remembered for a long time: it was the day he went from them to them. Or, to put it another way, Matty Taylor left Bristol Rovers to join Bristol City – and sparked an onslaught of heroic pettiness The Fiver would be proud to call its own.
