Too Good to Be True and Free Books!

Today I'm republishing a brief post from a few years ago, featuring my novel, Too Good to Be True, a copy of which I'm giving away to a commenter next week.

When I interview an author, I usually ask who would play the lead roles in the movie version of her/his novel. Recently I shared the same information about one of my own books. I'm going to do that again, with Too Good to Be True.

Before I show you my characters, I'd like to announce that the winner of the signed copy of my novel, The Guy I'm Not Dating, is:

Here's how Too Good to Be True is described on Amazon:

Trish Perry, author of the charming novel, The Guy I’m Not Dating, follows up with a contemporary, humorous tale of how love and life unfold in surprising ways.

Rennie Young meets the gallant Truman Sayers after she faints in the boys’ department of the local super store. Despite this unromantic introduction, Tru Sayers, a handsome young labor–and–delivery nurse, seems like a gift from God. But a recent divorce and other life disappointments cause Ren to question whether she can trust her heart and God.

This clever novel encourages readers to lean on God’s leading and to be open to life after the hurt—even when it seems too good to be true.

Now let me show you my movie leads for Too Good to Be True.

This is similar to how I pictured Ren Young, the heroine. I've used a black and white photo, because Ren has dark hair, and this helps give that impression. This actor is Kate Winslet, by the way.

And this is how I pictured Tru Sayers, the hero of the story. The actor is Vincent Perez. Very romantic actor.

What do you think? If you've read Too Good to Be True, I'd love to hear if these two match what you pictured.

If you'd like to read the book, I sell signed copies via Amazon, but I'm going to give away a signed copy Monday, January 30. You have to answer my question below to be entered. Leave your email address like so, in case you win: trish[at]trishperry[dot]com.

My question? When have you managed to trust in God, maybe even despite hurt caused you by your fellow man or woman, and experienced a blessed outcome?

Also, I'd love it if you'd connect with me on Facebook. Just click on my name at the right of today's post.

Annoying legal disclaimer: drawings void where prohibited; open only to U.S. residents; the odds of winning depend upon the number of participants.
