Lynette Why would you post about this in an open forum? Some people like me will like to follow authors without getting a lecture in politics, that should be personal. Book and stories are a way to deal with whatever is going on in our lives. I will not follow you anymore or buy any of your books. Keep the politics to yourself.

Good riddance. All art is political, and my books aren't for people who don't understand that, or who try to force artists to only say things they agree with.

Lily Pretending politics is a personal choice which has no impact on peoples actual lives is remarkably short sighted. This is not a question of left or right, this is about human rights and a government willing to ignore them. Go Martha!

Thank you, Lily!

Bisquit Right. Frankly, as long as you don't post insulting/harmful stuff, you should write whatever you want. You are an author. You are sending messages all the time! Seriously. Also, poor lynette, she'll miss out on your awesome books. Funny anyway, I never noticed all the Trumps in the Raksura world...

Justme I can understand not 'following' an author if you don't like what they post, but it doesn't make sense not to read their books if you enjoy them.
It's so very frustrating when people think you should not be allowed to express your opinion, regardless of whether anyone agrees. Express all you want, just don't try to force me into agreement!
And in particular to our current government...I have not been so despondent in 40 years...since I was an abused teenager! Had a really bad couple of weeks, but pulling out of that now to support love, compassion & tolerance around the world! I am a PATRIOT = I believe in the rights of life, liberty & happiness for everyone regardless of all the 'labels.'
