If you’d never heard of “Short Circuit” (1986) and had no idea who Johnny Five was, you might be forgiven for thinking this was an early prototype Skynet machine.
Admittedly, “I’ll be back” is a bit more ominous than “Hey, laser lips, your mama was a snow blower.”
Still more sophisticated than most DARPA projects I’ve seen…
