UPDATED: Skybound Variant Covers to Honor Image’s 25th Anniversary!

Announced just a short while ago by our brothers and sisters at Image, we’re very happy to finally show off our variant covers for INVINCIBLE #133 and THE WALKING DEAD #164, honoring the 25th Anniversary of Image comics! Starting February 1st, a whole slew of Image titles will be getting variant covers in the style of significant Image first issues.

INVINCIBLE #133 is drawn by series artist Ryan Ottley and homages YOUNGBLOOD #1, created by our friend Rob Liefeld!

THE WALKING DEAD #164 is ALSO drawn by Ryan Ottley and pays respect to Jim Lee‘s WILD C.A.T.S. #1!

UPDATE! We’ve got two more homage variants coming your way!

OUTCAST #25 is drawn by series artist, Paul Azaceta and is in the vein of BRIGADE, another Rob Liefeld title!

And finally Manifest Destiny #26 has art by Matt Roberts and harkens back to the cover of Chew #1 from Rob Guillory!

On the flip side, we’re over the moon that two Image titles will be drawing their covers in the style of two Skybound firsts!

Ed Brubaker, Sean Phillips, and Elizabeth Breitweiser’s KILL OR BE KILLED #6 is done up like THE WALKING DEAD #1:
