What YA historicals do you like?

Over on my group blog: The Chatelaines: http://www.thechatelaines.blogspot.com, I'm looking for recommendations of good YA historicals. Know any? Any genre--romance, mystery, mainstream, whatever. I'm just looking for more to read! Pop over and talk about which ones you like.

Cathiecaffey Hi Jennifer! I was just looking to see what historicals are out the there for YA too! So I haven't read any yet and would love to find some set in that time period. Did you ever think of writing historicals for YA? I know I'd especially love reading them in Regency and Medieval settings (and Victorian!)

So far I heard of
THE LUXE by Anna Godbersen
and
THE SEASON by Sara MacLean

What books set historical in those time periods would you recommend?

Jennifer Ashley Cathie: I really liked Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. It's historical/paranormal. I'm still looking around for others.

I have thought of writing them (in my copious spare time, LOL), but I haven't pursued it yet.

Cathiecaffey Hi Jennifer! I will find that one and read it. I read somewhere about that and forgot! So I'll start with that one!

LOL on your spare time! I really don't know how you do all you do (and I even bother you still for more historical mysteries, LOL). Really THANK YOU for all you do! I don't know what I'd do without your books! I just got IAN and shall be starting this new series! So can't wait! And I too saw your upcoming cover from Dorchester (paranormal? - it was a yummy cover!) and posted it on the upcoming covers on my blog! I'll post about IAN when I finish and for sure email you!
Cathie
