maybe I’m going to watch TFP for the second time. It feels like today is a good day to say goodbye and let go.

this episode is so boring. On top of everything that has been said about this episode in the last couple of days, for me, the main problem is that they get every emotional beat wrong. Because they refused to make it about John and Sherlock (and try to make the audience care for Mycroft and Eurus instead), this episode just lacks a soul. And in the end Mary takes over the episode’s dead body.

Yes. They go so far out of the way to de-romanticize their relationship that the story has no heart.
