I won’t be surprised if Moffat says that John keeps a Mary shrine at his flat.

He owns a life sized mary doll complete with assassin gear and sniper rifle. It wears a wedding ring. He sleeps next to it every night. This is healthy.

Oooh!  S5! A string of murders hits London and Sherlock is called in to investigate. Turns out it’s John who has had a psychotic break and he’s dressing up like Mary and going out and killing people by scaling walls dressed in black and then shooting them with sniper rifles. 

Psycho meets Sherlock. It’s perfect!
