The joys of fiction

I am busily researching new government models -- no, not because I want to overthrow our current government (although the idea has merit). No, I need a new government in the books I'm writing and I decided to start over from scratch.

It's been an interesting bit of research. I've read the Constitution, reviewed Das Kapital, read Mao's Little Red Book. I couldn't stomach Mein Kampf so I passed on that and just did Cliff Notes.

All of it is fodder for my story. I have no idea what I'll design, but I'm sure it'll be better than the morass in D.C. right now!
