Can I just say, I've been trying to write the Black Canary fighting and I felt weird because I was having her use the Canary Cry so often it felt off for some reason, and I could never really figure out why but I didn't want to make her stop using it becau

To me, it’s a bit like Iron Fist. Iron Fist is one of my very favorite characters. But he’s got that same thing, a cannon that he can only use once each fight, his Iron Fist power.

Now, if he’s in real danger, why doesn’t he just use the fist? If he’s not in real danger, where is the suspense?  So it puts the writer into a corner. The readers want to see the Iron Fist, but if it happens every fight, it quickly becomes predictable.

Canary is a fighter first, a superhero second.
