All You Have To Do Is Breathe

I know despair. I felt its sting when my younger son, Amos, was diagnosed with Down syndrome. For which I am now blessedly connected to the Special Needs community and have known others who have despaired - and triumphed. They are full of silent strength - one that isn't wanting, conditional or covetous of praise. It is unseen, genuine and very, very powerful. With that a quote from the film 'Cast Away' comes to mind. Although its plot is fictitious its events are plausible, and I find its message beautiful.'So now I know what I have to do. I have to keep breathing.
