Character Interview with Jedda from Before the Luck Runs Out

We have Jedda here with us today from Before the Luck Runs Out, a new release as of yesterday! So, tell me Jedda, how old are you?

I’m not sure. Maybe fifteen.

Do you have a family?

I’m an orphan, so I don’t really know what family means.

Oh, I see. Well, do you have any parent like figures?

The grocer by the market square, kind of looks after me a bit. I’d like to find out who I am, but no one in this city looks like me.

How would you describe your childhood?

Hungry. Scary. I found a good hidey-hole a couple of years though, so I has a safe place to sleep. It even stayed mostly warm all year.

What’s your greatest fear?

When I was on the streets, I wasn’t afraid of nothin. Now, I’m dressed all fancy like, and sleep in a real bed, and even have friends. I’m always afraid they will find out the truth.. that I am a liar, a fake, and a spy.

That is a difficult kind of life to live. What do you hate most about yourself?

I don’t talk as well as everyone else does, and I always feel like everyone knows what’s going on– except me.

What’s your greatest strength?

I’m lucky. And I’m good at sneaking around.

Do you have a weakness?

I never know who to trust, and make bad decisions sometimes.

Have you traveled?

Only around this city- but I knows it really well. I flew in one of them fliers once, over the city. That could count for travel, right?

Yes, I suppose that could. Is there something from the past that haunts you, keeps you awake at night?

The things I used to do to stay alive and fed. I h’aint proud of that. But it’s what you do when you han’t got no one else.

What’s your biggest secret?

I’m an orphan, and I spy on all the people that think I am their friend.

What’s your favorite animal?

The Owl.

The owl is a very cool and powerful animal that symbolizes strength and knowledge in the darkest of places. Before we go, do you have a question? Something you would like our readers to answer?

What would you like to see me do, when I leave Tatak Rhe and travel out into the magical lands?
