heidiw27:

With Rhianna Pratchett’s sudden departure from the TR franchise, I find myself very worried for the third game of the TR Reboot trilogy. It all depends on the vision of whoever they get for Lara’s continuing journey – will she continue to have the complex & intriguing persona of the previous two games?

I would love, LOVE, if they now brought in Gail Simone; you just know she wouldn’t hesitate to show Sam & Lara in a relationship (heck, she’d probably make it a prime condition of her hiring) – she just loves to piss off the haters. :D

#TombRaider #LaraCroft

I do not get the whole thing with Sam being pretty much deleted from the second game. That caused me to lose a lot of desire to write the character, I’ll be honest. The people at the game company were great, and I know Rhianna Pratchett, who wrote both games, is VERY pro-lgbtq and would have loved to have Sam and Lara in a relationship, which is so fricking OBVIOUSLY where they should go with it.

But even if they couldn’t be partners that way, to set her up as Lara’s best friend and then forget to mention her, it’s just odd to me.

I loved the second game. Had a blast playing it, it’s a masterwork.

But taking Sam out is just baffling.
