Happy 2017!

Picture Happy New Year! I was so excited to find this planner with birds to organize my year. Thinking about 2017, I looked back at my goals for 2016.  I have to say, I feel good about the year. I finished the Being Me series and added two novellas to my collection. If you remember my chalkboard list from January 2016, I’d listed finishing the series, attending two conferences, and trying something new. I had a blast at Utopia Con and Penned Con and met so many new people, they were both great experiences! The something new ended up being my first paranormal read, Drops of Sunshine, and most recently my first dystopian story Lovelock Ones: Native One. These challenged me to write in two new genres, in a different age group, and from a male character’s perspective.

In 2015 when I decided to publish my first book, Is This Me?, I knew I wanted it to tell a story of a girl who thinks she’s figured it all out but experiences challenges that leave her questioning her path. It was a hard series to write because I wanted it to be authentic. I needed for Amanda to face situations that pushed her to the limits and for her to find a way to meet her trials head on. I loved the characters in this series and am sad to be putting many of them on hold for now. Zack’s story is one that I aim to get to you in 2017! If you haven’t been introduced to Amanda, Doug, Zack, Lila, Mark, and the rest of the crew read Is This Me? My first YA and paranormal story, Drops of Sunshine, first published in Spellbound, a summer themed anthology with four other YA paranormal novellas! It has gotten wonderful reviews and I love Nina’s character. She retreats to a camp for the blind for the summer only to find out some kids can read her thoughts. Just when she wanted to hide the most, she is forced to share her pain. You can get Spellbound for FREE here!

My most recent publication, Lovelock Ones: Native One is the first novella in Lovelock Ones, a Lovelock Chronicles novel. I already have the second novella, Lovelock Ones: Bred One, featuring Troy, written. Lovelock Ones will publish in January of 2018! If you’d like to read the first installment and meet Jema and Troy, it is the first novella in The Butterfly Box, available for $0.99 on Amazon in the US: http://a.co/bm5ExQN and UK: http://amzn.eu/bl6xlyR. This anthology, of eight healing themed stories, benefits Doctors Without Borders.

I’m very excited about my new paranormal series, The Kingdom Series Journals! The first, Kingdom of Embers, Kingdom Series Journal 1 – Alena’s Story, will be out February 7! In Kingdom of Embers, Alena finds herself frustrated and confused by her Vampire Council Chancellor mother’s search for an unknown entity. When Alena meets Hunter, she thinks he might be the answer. A second suitor’s appearance complicates matters. You’ll see whether she can figure out who to trust in time to save her mother’s kingdom from being reduced to embers.

So, I am pretty pumped for 2017 and hope you are too! If you want to get all my latest news subscribe to my email newsletter here:
