Saved

I now have contracts with Extasy Books for Perils of Forgotten Pain (now split into two parts) and for my novella. So, the stories are officially rescued, barring unforeseen events.

I'm quite happy about it-Extasy publishes some good stuff.

Jy I'm so glad to hear that! I saw the announcement of your book from the Shadowfire Press newsletter and couldn't find it on their site when I went to buy it this past weekend. I'll look for it in the Extasy newsletters. Just curious, why did you have to split it into two parts for Extasy Books?

Ravon Silvius It was apparently a pricing issue-the book is long (72k words) and the head editor informed me that higher priced, longer books have a history of not selling as well (and I would assume that goes double for new authors). So I split it in two.

I'll keep people informed about how it all goes-I only recently received the contract offers, so it will take time to get things back in print. Thanks for the vote of confidence though!

Jy Makes sense and explains why I've been noticing an increasing number of shorter books. I actually prefer the higher priced, longer books. If a story is good, I want to read more and the longer length makes me feel well satisfied with the extra time I got to spend with the characters and their world.

Good luck!
