Camp Nano - Day 7

Today's word count: 2,543

Wow. The first week of Camp Nanowrimo has come to an end!

I was happy with today's writing. By 11:15 this morning I was done (with today's word count goal). I got up a few minutes past 7 this morning and managed to squeeze out a couple hundred words (almost 300) trying to get comfortable stretched out on the couch with my Alphasmart on my lap. Then tiredness hit  because I didn't get to bed until after 12:30 and closer to 1am last night. So I went back to bed for a bit, getting up again at 9 and straight back to writing.

Lots of unexpected stuff happened since I'm not really using my notes anymore - they're pretty much used up. So I had lots of fun writing up the end to the first part of my story.  Pretty much everything that happened I didn't plan at all, so it kept me interested and intrigued where it was going next - to all you non-writers, that might sound weird - that I don't know what's going to happen in my own story - how is that possible you might ask? You're the one writing the story! I don't really know...but that's what happens. To me anyways!

With a few breaks - like having a shower and having some cereal, I'm super happy with my early finish to today's word count. And surprised as to what is going to happen to my main character next time I revisit him!

Tomorrow I'll start on The Emperor's side of the story. Exciting!
