When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’  (John 8:12 NIVUK)

‘You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. (Matthew 5:14 NIVUK)

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.  (Isaiah 9:2, also Matthew 4:16 NIVUK)
