I saw in the newspaper last week a Cable TV show on men with long beards. I didn't watch the show, but it got me to wondering about famous men with bodacious whiskers. So, I drew up a fun list to share on my weblog today. I grew a beard when I graduated from high school, but within a few years, I decided beards and I didn't mix too well.
Factoid: The average beard grows 5" per year.
Factoid: Cats don't like men with long beards. (I'm not too sure about that study's findings.)
Factoid: William Howard Taft was the last U.S. President with a beard.

The one guy in ZZ Top without a beard(the drummer) goes by the name Frank Beard. Whether that's a real name or a professional(most likely), it seems entirely too coincidental that he doesn't have one.
