This is a Libertarian-minded article I wrote almost a year ago (READ BEYOND the title!), trying to deal with a bogged down government. It turns out, maybe there is enough fire and reason out there now after the elections to reboot the FDA to be more lean and less bureaucratic. Either way, the hope is that America can streamline drug approvals and policy to give better health and longevity to its citizens. The bottom line is: Kick out the lawyers and take more chances with new drugs and medical devices.
