Announcing The Official Eragon Coloring Book!

Kvetha Fricaya. Greetings Friends!

Exciting news! I’m delighted to announce the upcoming publication of The Official Eragon Coloring Book! It’s a project I’ve been working on in secret for the past six months (in addition to polishing up the second draft of my science fiction novel).

The coloring book is illustrated by Ciruelo, a friend and one of my favorite dragon artists. He’s done an amazing job with Saphira, Thorn, Fírnen, and all the other dragons of the Inheritance Cycle! I love how he’s brought Alagaësia to life through his drawings of scenes, characters, and locations from the entire series. After so many years spent thinking about the world and the story, it’s really gratifying to share these images with you.

Ciruelo’s drawings are intricate and elegant—perfect for coloring. Plus, they’re just fun to look at! I mean, check out this cover! Cool! In addition to his work, there’s a drawing of my own in the book, a drawing with lots and lots of scales.

The Official Eragon Coloring Book will be in stores starting May 2nd, 2017, but it’s available for preorder now! Make sure to reserve a copy before the first printing sells out! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

As always, may your swords (and pencils) stay sharp!

Thanks for catching the typo! My best writing/editing/publishing advice can be found in the Writers Corner on my website. In terms of editing, you can start with a local writer or English teacher in your area. There are also many professional editors who offer their services online—just make sure to vet your choices. In terms of publishing, you can submit your work to agents, to publishing houses, and to magazines (for short form stories), or you can self-publish. My dad wrote an article on the topic you might find helpful: Paths to Publishing. Best wishes on your project!
