And now let's meet novelist Stephanie Prichard, author of the suspense novel, Forgotten (November 2016).

Stephanie is an army brat who lived in many countries around the world and loved it. She learned to speak four foreign languages—but forgot all of them, alas, with lack of use. She met her husband at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where she majored in English/Literature.
She and Don live in Indianapolis, IN, and in retirement enjoy writing novels together.
Please tell us three random things we might not know about you.
--My first home was a Quonset hut in Okinowa.
--I am the fourth of five children, and am the smartest, prettiest, wittiest, and biggest liar of them all.
--As a child, I wanted to grow up and marry a farmer and have 12 children and a horse and TV set for each. Fortunately, I never grew up.
Please tell us a bit more about the plot of Forgotten.

Four people are hunting her down. Three claim to have been stranded on an island with her. The fourth is her old nemesis, Chicago drug lord Danny Romero, who still wants her dead.
Jake Chalmers is shocked to discover his fiancé is a federal prosecutor. Why did she hide this from him on the island, and who is going to such great lengths to prevent their reunion? If she doesn’t regain her memory, he’ll be thrown into prison for murder.
What is it about Jake that will make your readers care about him?
Jake, a Marine Corps reservist, is tough on the outside and warm as chocolate brownies from the oven on the inside. His love for young Crystal, an orphan, and for her elderly great-aunt Betty brings out his tenderness, while a trail of broken shoulders and wrists testifies to the fate of those who dare to challenge his defense of the weak and needy. His first devotion is to God, but the temptation to take vengeance into his own hands is proving way too sweet to leave to God.
Author Robin Jones Gunn has said that all inspirational authors eventually get a sense of an overall theme God has given them for their stories. What do you think your theme is?
Don and I love themes! Our primary goal for our novels is to (very subtly) feature a character quality of God and—flip the coin to the other side—man’s struggle with it. In our first novel, Stranded, the character quality is God’s sovereignty and man’s dismay that “bad things happen to good people.” In Forgotten, the featured character quality is God’s justice and man’s struggle to forgive his enemy and show compassion. We find this incorporation of a major theme helps give universality to our stories.
Yes, and it's wonderful to have that subtle influence in your thinking as you write.
What are you working on now?
We’re taking a break for the Christmas holidays to see if our children remember who we are, and will then start on the third novel in the series in 2017.
