Tell me that someday I'll look back at this and laugh

Publishing world is a tough place and it doesn't matter where you are in the pecking order, few are spared a knock or two (or sixty). Things change quickly and dramatically. Sometimes you win, other times you have a private cry. Nowhere was this demonstrated better than last week in the textbook industry as people found out if their books made it to the next round or not.
