‘Twas the night before Christmas
And throughout the house
Nary a creature did stir
Not even a spouse
His eyes filled with wonder
His jaw dropped in awe
Of the sight sat before him
One conclusion could draw
For underneath the Christmas tree
In glorious shining light
A gift of devotion
From his adoring wife
Wrapped in ribbon from head to toe
Bowed in submission
Her trust in him to show
The vision of his dreams
Tied with a red velvet bow.
