You may have noticed that I haven’t been blogging very much in the last few months. It’s understandable due to all of the jobs that I juggle at the same time. I’ve been busy doing 1,001 things, including FT teaching, raising a family, managing a household, finishing up the semester at grad school, and writing/editing on the side.
I’ve gone through three edits of my current WIP (work in progress), and I’m on my fourth edit. I originally wanted this psychological thriller in a series to be written in the first person, but after three edits, something didn’t feel quite right. I decided to switch it to the third person. So, this last edit has been quite tedious. It’ll be well worth it in the end, but for now, it’s been a lot of extra work. I had assumed that I’d already have published this piece by now, but I just had too much going on and I realized I needed to slow my roll.
The important thing is that I want this book to be the best book I’ve ever written, and if that means it’ll take me a little longer than I wanted it to take, so be it!
