Education is jargon-larded and parents need to know a fair amount of it. In

To mitigate some of the boredom of learning jargon, I embed critiques of today's education enterprise. Those critiques are more justified than ever in light of the
just-released PISA results. They are U.S. education’s latest
embarrassment in its unbroken string of poor performance compared with other countries even though
the U.S. spends #1 per capita in the world on education.
