December Daily® 2016 | Day 04

Welcome to
December Daily® 2016 | Day 04.

Keeping it simple today with a story about one of my favorite holiday collections that I brought out for the kids (and for me). For a number of years I've been collecting different Christmas/Holiday themed Playmobil sets. My favorites are the
Playmobil Nativity along with other Advent calendars from past years that we've had that include woodland animals and Santas (Christmas On The FarmSanta's WorkshopChristmas Post Office). I love most that these toys get played with in December and then put away to come out again next year.

Check out the video below for the step-by-step processes for today's story.

As a reminder, here's what Day 04 looked like as a foundation page:

And here's a look at what Day 04 turned out looking like:

Here's a rundown of what today includes:

On the back of the messy circle from Day 03 I used the December Daily® 4x6 Silkscreen (cut out the "wonderful magical December moments" from the full 4x6) with my Pendleton (red) paint. Check out the video below for the full process or check out my Simple Guide To Silkscreens.
To decorate the number 4 I used my Cascade Chipboard Alpha + the Christmas Star Stamp Set + my Pendleton Craft Ink (currently sold out individually but still available  in the full set ). That was then adhered onto a black 3x4 white piece of cardstock. I trimmed off the edge of the "4" chipboard along the right edge. At the top I used a rolling date stamp and then journaled my story using a Precision Pen (writing first and underlining second).
I printed out my 4x6 photo using my Epson PictureMate PM400 (the white border is an option when printing). On top I adhered the rubber "holiday cheer" sentiment (from the Paislee Press December Daily® Mini Kit) using red line tape. One of the things we've learned over the last year is to NOT use glue dots with rubber embellishments - people have found that there is some kind of reaction between the glue dots and the rubber. Red line tape has seemed to work fine of my past projects using rubber embellishments.

Here's a look at it outside of the album:

I love the pops of red on the three main pieces of my story.
