Creative Collaborations and Odd Opportunities for Immortality

So, it’s been an interesting couple days….

On Tuesday the news broke that Lin-Manuel Miranda has officially signed on to help develop my books into movies and television.

This news has been a long time coming, and it hasn’t been easy to keep under my hat.

I’ve already done a Q&A about it over on my twitch stream, and I’ll write about it here in the blog in the future. But for now just let me say that my creative crush on Lin is of Whedonian proportions. I’m about as excited as a human being...

Liam Cant wait to see where this goes! Also, it'll give you enough time to talk him into Critical Role.

Pudd'nhead Wilson For heavens sake, please finish book 3 and publish it. It seems you're starting a lot of things and finishing nothing. I love your first two books and have so looked forward to book three. I don't have a lot of time. Please publish and sell book three of King Killer Chronicles before I die.

DylSyl I'm so so excited for you, Pat.
I know and value the fact that you need to perfect and refine a finished product.
But please.
Please.
Finish and publish The Doors of Stone, or WHATEVER the third book will be to the Kingkiller Chronicle.

I know tons of people say this, and I'm just a random fan. But please. Complete the amazing story you started.

That's about it. Have to poop now.
Have a GREAT day!

Oh for heavens sake, please treat the author like the human he is and not a book writing automaton. He doesn't owe you anything. If he just wants to quit writing forever that's his prerogative. You'll get the dang book when you get the dang book. Demanding he spend literally all his time writing like a spoiled child will not make it go faster - in fact it probably makes the writing process slower.

David Oh ffs people, lay off him about the third book. You know Wise Man's Fear is almost as long as the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy, right? The third book may well be even longer. It's been all of five years. It took Tolkien twelve years to write Lord of the Rings. 400+ thousand word fantasy novels take a lot of time.
