Are American Christians Being Persecuted? – Dialectic Two Step

Question: What makes American Christians, in general, believe that they are being persecuted?

Response: They’ve seen, over the past 400 years, the pendulum of history moving away from them on social hot button issues.

I see this as more a conservative political block crying wolf. While I have no faith in the articles of the Nicaean creed, much of what the Christian teachings remain at the center of what this country is about.

While the relentless edge of the constitution is carving off the irrelevant influences of the Christian religion on government, there remains a valuable core.

Dialectic Two-Step  is an ongoing series of my thoughts on questions that come my way.

Wisdom lies neither in fixity nor in change, but in the dialectic between the two. - Octavio
