It's 4:00 AM, and I should be sleeping. The house is quiet, and I am left alone with my thoughts, which today are dark. This is more than just the worries of a bad day or a spot of bad luck, I'm wresting with a sea-change in how I view my fellow man.

Rita I weep with you. I feel much as you do and it gets harder to bear every day.

Tessa in Mid-Michigan So sad--I still miss my cat we had to let go last year. I hope she can get through this more easily than this old person is.

Liz I have been in that place for awhile now in my old age. I know it is true that "evil is just easier". And undoes so much good. Environmentalists have a saying that preservation is temporary but loss is permanent. The same is true about progress in human rights..
The battles will never be over since it takes no effort to be selfish or greedy. All we can do is make our little world as kind as possible..

CatBookMom So very sorry about your beautiful cat. It hurts so much to lose a furkid when it's age or illness; to have it murdered is so much harder, I think.

People seem to be more and more stupid and cruel and unthinking with their guns, the ones they demand to have on their persons everywhere, in the grocery, in Walmart, etc.

Cheryl I hope people are going to the website to read the 11/29 post along with this one. Go, Purple Avenger!
