Art of Deception

How do I make you like someone you shouldn't? To weave them in such a way that their flaws are exposed, making you wary, but at the same time empathetic to their strife?

I'm carefully constructing a character with so many layers that I have to be very careful not to reveal too much within each chapter by typing the wrong thought or slip of the tongue. I want the complexity of this character to leave you astounded when it is finally revealed...

Deception is exhausting!

Danelle I just read your book and became very attatched to the characters, mainly Emma, Sara and Evan. The ending did leave me a little traumatized, I unfortunately know the world we live in and sometimes can be a little pessimistic. My wierd desperation of needing to know what happened to Emma, Sara, Evan and Carol made me look for your web site and I am thrilled to hear you have a sequel. I look forward to reading your next creation.

Tiffany Rowell First off I want to say that I'm not sure it's healthy to be this obsessed with a book, but I am. I just finished reading it and I already want to read it again (and most likely will). I cannot wait for the sequel to come out. This is such a beautiful story and I know it will be one that I continue to read over and over again until I can read no more.

Britta Kirk awesome, I'm trying to learn the same thing with my novel! many blessings I'm sure it will be absolutely brilliant!

Stephanie bought Reason to Breathe around 2am yesterday morning on my Kindle and finished around 3am this morning. every hour that i was forced to either sleep or work in between i was stuck in Emma's world. i'm a bookworm and i'm used to being drawn in and not coming out for air until i'm done lol but it felt a little more real with this book. my insides are squirming with the thought of having to wait until the fall to see if Emma gets the happily ever after she deserves....well..my princess kitty is snoring in the chair so of course i must go aggervate her :D good luck in Weslyn! (:
