Will There Be a Sequel or Prequel to LAKE CHARLES?

The Blue Cheer was published in 2007, the third title in my Private Investigator Frank Johnson series. This year my stand alone Lake Charles appeared in print. There are striking similarities between the two novels. Both are set in Appalachia. Both are written in a hardboiled prose style. Both plots are stoked to move fast and furious.

My friend Poker Ben Springer first suggested a prequel or sequel to Lake Charles. I haven't thought of one, but I believe it might be fun to do a third book set in the same mountains. Some more thought has to go into outlining the premise. Some night soon I'll set aside a block of time and notch out some ideas. From there, I'll distill a workable idea to begin a new book.
