ATM Of The Week (2)

Does a visit to an ATM fill you with dread? Are you worried that you haven’t got enough money in your account? Apparently, 29% of us suffer from such severe anxiety when we check our bank balance that we feel nervous or even physically sick.

Atom Bank has opened a new ATM, I read this week, designed to make the experience less stressful and it is situated, appropriately, in London’s Brick Lane. Users walk through a room draped with white curtains, soft lighting and feather fans to the strains of Mahler’s 5th Symphony played by the string section of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Wonder if it will catch on?
