Stacy Wow, that was fantastic, Tara, thanks for sharing it. After reading that I just went to Amazon and downloaded several of his books for a more thorough study of Bierce's work. I have the Devil's Dictionary, and Owl Creek has always been a favorite, but this interview made me want to read more. I had no idea he disappeared! Fascinating, all the way round.

Tara Stacy: Thanks so much for your comment! So nice to know someone is reading these posts and that they got something out of one. Yes, I agree, it's fascinating that he disappeared. Some feel he faked it, some feel he wanted to go in that manner. In any case, he was a huge influence on many writers, so good to read more of his work. Enjoy!
