In Praise of a Hero of Words - Ossietzky

In today's America of the most despicable, intellectually dishonest and morally bankrupt journalists, we are reminded today of a hero and the purpose of a free press in challenging the political class with Edward Snowden's acceptance of the Norwegian PEN award of the Ossietzky Prize.

You are already familiar with Snowden who revealed America's massive worldwide surveillance as well as its spying on American citizens in violation of their Fourth Amendment protections.

This is about Ossietzky. There are not many journalist like him. Certainly not in the United States of America.

In 1929, Carl von Ossietzky revealed that Germany was running a secret re-armament program in violation of the Treaty of Versailles. He was convicted of treason and imprisoned and then released by amnesty in 1932 only to be arrested once again on the morning after the Reichstag fire.

While in prison, he was awarded the 1936 Nobel Peace Prize.

Please feel free to compare Ossiestzky to the politically correct spank wankers at the NYT, WaPo, CNN, CBS, NBC and CNN who have been obediently butt-licking Snoop Dogg Barry Obama over the last eight years and protecting Pilloried Hillary during her entire political career.

Thank you, Herr Ossietzky

David Gustafson Speaking of journalist dishonesty...

The NYT is having a little acid reflux swallowing its own narrative. Here is Mark Lilla's take on Hillary's defeat.

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/20/opi...

Notice the PC wankers are beginning to settle on the term, "white rural voters," rather than "working class."

There are simply not enough white rural voters remaining in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin to sway an election. Then why do the PC wankers proclaim this?

It was the betrayal of the working class, the historic backbone of the Democratic Party, that cost them the election.

The PC wankers do not like that answer. Working class still arouses heroic memories of class conflict. White rural voters suits the perverted PC narrative to a T. Forget the facts, forget journalistic integrity, this is all about the PC narrative; past, present and future.

David Gustafson It is beginning to dawn upon a very small band of PC spank wankers that if they had done a better job of vetting Pilloried Hillary's influence peddling instead of crawling into the bug-infested sleeping bag with the party hacks who had already proclaimed her coronation, the Democrats would have put forth a different candidate and the bat-shit crazy Mr. Trump Monkey would not be about to renovate the Oval Office with his personal collection of troglodytes.

Although they are beginning to breach that "working class voter" syndrome that is haunting their perfect PC narrative, they have yet to reach the point of confessing that they have no one else to blame but themselves for the Trump Monkey disgrace, but here is a little epiphany-in-the-working from some of their more articulate myrmidons over at SALON:

Robert Hobkirk The scarey part of the election for me was the media. Where can we go to get the news?

Before the election I was watching one of the Sunday morning "news" programs. One of the hacks referred to himself and his fellow windbags as the "intelligentsia" of the country. It would have been ha! ha! except he was serious.

David Gustafson Dishonest journalism is everywhere. Yesterday, Germany's ZFD "Berlin Direct" had a piece on the public's perception of that country's wicked media slant.

"Intelligentsia???" When the boob tube bobbleheads seriously consider themselves to be America's intelligentsia, you know that we are seeing signs of the end times. LOL!

Another hilarious sign is the group therapy being offered by universities for students and staff unable to cope with the election results.

Here at UNLV, they announced a scheduled series of group hugs today for those weenies traumatized by the election. This would be too funny, but we are talking about the coddled millennials, the gamer-boy eunuchs and smart-phone nymphos coming out of America's bubble-wrapped suburbs.

Remember when immigrants arrived in America looking for a job or a fist fight?

Robert Hobkirk Media leading the charge in the new era of McCarthyism. This time instead of hunting commies, they're hunting racists and bigots, but only white racists and white bigots. I expect the over inflated windbag, Bernie Sanders, to hold Senate hearing to uncover those who used the word "black" instead of "African-American," or is it the other way around.

David Gustafson The media's PC spank wankers have found it uncomfortable of late to use "white working class"as a pejorative in their narrative of Pilloried Hillary's defeat because the proletariat used to harken back as the heroic mainstay of the Democratic party, so when they dare to use it they nimbly amend it to "white working class with a high school education." That will teach those bastards!

The only satisfaction I get out of Mr. Trump Monkey's victory is the endless whining of the politically correct spank wankers.

Robert Hobkirk Trump's meeting with the Media yesterday was like the St Vanlentine's Day Massacre. He let them have it and was a voice for us when he told them that he was in a room with a "bunch of liars" who got it wrong. He isn't going to silently put up with their BS. Go Trump.

David Gustafson Calling out the hypocrisy of the politically correct spank wankers in the media may be the one and only Trump Monkey policy that will ever deserve a standing ovation. Clap, clap, clap...
