Writer's Block
Having just finished the draft of Turning Wheels and sending it out to beta readers, I returned to Identity Crisis only to find I couldn't think where to take it!
Spent the morning throwing words at paper (okay, well the screen) with a vague hope that some of them might end up in the right order!
Then I took a break. Walked the dogs, cooked a curry - and then it came to me! Yup, the scene I'd written was in the wrong place, and with only a slight change in emphasis I was hopefully going to be back on the right track.
Even if your brain is dead and the words don't seem to flow just keep writing! In the recesses of your mind there's probably some sense going on that you just don't consciously realise as yet.
Or is that just me?
