What Does Charlamagne Know About Optimism?

I was first introduced to Charlamagne Tha God when he was Wendy Williams' side kick on her radio show. This was before Wendy was mainstream with her own TV show. If you know anything about this guy then you know that he is always talking trash about celebrities. He's the interviewer that will ask you some bullsh!t to get a rise out of you or a negative reaction out of you. I understand doing stuff for ratings but he is just plain old disrespectful to the guests on his current morning radio show The Breakfast Club.

When I learned that Charlamagne would be releasing a book in 2017 the last thing I expected it to be about was optimism and inspiration. I'll be damned. This guy wants to actually put out something positive for the people. Here's what Hot New Hip Hop had to say about his upcoming release:

According to the AP, The book, entitled "Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It," is said to contain “brutally honest insights" as C Tha God recounts his journey from the dusty roads of Moncks Corner, South Carolina to radio and social media prominence. It is slated for an April 18, 2017 release via Simon & Schuster.
“I wrote this for the dreamers, for the optimists; this book isn’t for pessimists,” Charlamagne told HipHopDX. “This book is about embracing who and what you are regardless of race, gender, sexuality, and class. God gave you the privilege of this thing called life so regardless of what this society tells you that you can’t do and what you don’t have to understand you lack nothing God gave you everything you need to succeed.”
