This is a strange title for what is a post-election interview on my "own" presidential campaign. Nonetheless, I'm getting asked a lot by media about Trump and and the future of science, and I think a lot of people are surprised about my answers, and so they're focusing on that. In my opinion, the future is currently bright for science. America is going to have to compete against ambitious China, and that means the US government will have to be pro-science, otherwise China will be the country that defines the coming transhumanist age. From both an economic and national security perspective, that's unacceptable no matter who is in the White House. So Uncle Sam will have to open its wallet. We need to spend lots of money on science and technology research to stay ahead, and the government must give lots of incentives to the private industry to also innovate, https://www.inverse.com/article/23602... #transhumanism
