Borrowed words

Sorry for the delay posting the first four chapters of Into The Fire. We sold our NC house, which means we must find a new house to live in, so house hunting is what had me busy last week. I'll post the chapters next week. This week... well, I'm still reeling from the election results. I did, however, want to share some quotes that are helping me. I hope they help some of you, too.

"We may encounter defeats, but we must not be defeated." - Maya Angelou.

"Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all' - Emily Dickinson

"It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness." - Eleanor Roosevelt.

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Note: Do NOT post any political comments below. Right now, I want to spread some much-needed hope, not more vitriol. If you ignore my request, I will delete your comment (my page, my rules.) If, however, you want to share another inspirational quote or quotes, please do.
