Day of the Dead

Hello all! Hope you had a lovely halloween. Want to hear how mind went? Well...

On Sunday, the authors, poets and songsmiths of Portsmouth got together to celebrate Halloween on the Day of the Dead festival. A celebration of darkly funny and hilariously grotesque, I had the honour of performing my piece "The Blank Page" (available in full in my anthology collection).

So, who were the illustrious performers? We had a massive list! And I want to give shout-outs and massive thanks to everyone who performed, so that you can check out their work. Here goes. We had Tony NoonMaggie SawkinsCharlotte Comley, Alan Morris, Jacqui Pack, James Bicheno, Lord Byro, Philip JeaysChristine LawrenceTom HarrisGareth ReesVH LeslieTom Sykes, Sue Spiers, Jamie WestDiana Bretherick, and Matt Wingett

I'd like to link to the page of the head organiser and all-round brilliant chap Will Sutton, without who the event would definitely not have been possible. Check out his page and his works!

We hit the newspapers with a bang - here's our spread! Dead fancy!

Even more impressively, Sunday saw the release of the (first of many?) official Day of the Dead book! Edited by Matt, it contains stories by many of the performers from the event, including my own short story "Footprints on the Lakeside". You can, of course, grab a copy of the book to add to your collection, and I highly recommend that you do!

This was a wonderful event and left everyone eager to see what next year's halloween will bring!

And just a reminder to everyone out there reading this that my new short novella, "The Castle of Count Shagula" (LGBT erotic comedy) is now available. In addition, you can now support me on Patreon for exclusive advanced content and funky stuff!
