A quick one

Very quick one just to say I'm in the offices of a film company in London, spending two days interviewing editors, production designers, costume people and the like, for a short (ten minute) silent film I've written and will be directing in two weeks' time.
I can't tell you much more about it yet. It stars, er, a star, and another, different, star. I had the idea for it half way through the HousingWorks benefit Amanda and I did in April, and pulled out my notebook and wrote it down

Savannah Oh, this is so cool! I can only imagine how wonderful and nervewracking it must feel to have your imagined works turned into film. I can't wait to hear more!

Cecilia Congrats on winning the Hugo & NEWBERRY Award. I really loved "The Graveyard Book". Wonderful tale.

Also, thanks for the inside info on your upcoming silent film short. I'm a silent film fan and combining your talent with B&W (I hope) silent film...well, it has to be awesome. Just to read about it I can tell you are excited about the project. Hope it will be on the internet sometime since I don't live in the UK but would love to see it.

Charles Question: How do we get the cable providers to buy BBC for American viewing. Not just selected series/programs/specials, but access to the entire channel.

There is so much great stuff, like your upcoming short film, that we'd really like to watch. Are there international trade issues involved or something like that. Seems like it would be popular and easily done in this satellite age.
