A treasure trove of old writings

Heavens to Betsy, I've been awfully lazy about keeping my blog up to date, but I have lots of excuses, mainly my having been forced to spend a lot of time getting the hang of a bunch of new gadgetry. I have, however, unexpectedly gotten involved in an exciting writing project. Some months ago, I happened to come upon a pile of old writings, almost all typewritten during the long-ago pre-computer days! They consist mostly of recollections of people and events from my childhood but there were also reminiscences of my grownup years, including those I spent living in Europe. I've been busy editing them and entering them in my computer. I'm really having fun with this project but would love to hear from anyone who's done something similar, especially how they managed to find creative ways to fill in the gaps where memory fails.
