Frustration, Dissected

I have been pretty fortunate in my career as a novelist. Ten novels in, working on the eleventh, I have a lot of loyal and supportive readers. Not everybody loves every book, but it would be silly to expect that; there is no novel out there, no matter how beloved generally, that doesn’t have its detractors. People who find it boring, or activity dislike it for whatever reason.

Maureen I loved the Gilded Hour and waiting patiently for the next. I am a Outlander fan and have just started Into the Wilderness I cannot put it down. You are one of my favorite authors.

Rosina Lippi Thank you, Maureen. Much appreciated.

Marta The Gilded Hour was the first book of yours that I have read. I could not put it down. I felt optimism for the characters when it concluded and was not in any way disappointed. So much of the historical information in the book was fascinating to me. Of course, I will read the sequel, but feel that The Gilded Hour can stand on its own merits without a sequel. Ignore the haters :)
