Writing pains

Nightbird is humming along. I'm around 44k words now, but I have had to put it off to go over my editor's notes regarding The Portal. Have you read it? I sure hope not. Odds are you haven't. It is the second book I ever wrote, having written it after I finished Ascension. The technical errors are bad enough, but you see how much I didn't know when it came to style, it is truly horrific. Hopefully, I can buff out those dents enough to make it presentable.
