I mean, how more blatant can they be about the Christ symbolism? Just to mention His Last Vow: A mortal wound to the heart; descending to Hell and confronting the Devil (Moriarty in his Mind Palace); a miraculous resurrection for love.

It’s just a lot. And it’s promising. If there’s such a thing as a story with a good ending, that’s the Gospel.

I’d love to hear your opinions on this. @apismel1fera @consultingeastwind @soldierjhwatson @thingssherlockshouldwear

And just to add, I think Sherlock flying off in an airplane at the end of Season 3 echoes the ascension of Jesus when he was taken up into the clouds. Whoa. This is just getting more interesting. I wonder if we’ll see more parallels in S4. @byebyefrost, @apismel1fera, @soldierjhwatson

The plane analogy has given me goosebumps @thingssherlockshouldwear (Maybe because I’m currently flying 17,000 feet above the sea on my way to Exeter, England) I’m pretty sure we’ll see more parallels in S4.

And who was the disciple Christ loved? JOHN.
