Header (2006)

Edward Lee did in fact release a film, The Walking Woman, not long ago. It’s one I need to re-watch for the novelty alone but I was not a pleased as I wanted to be. Lee is a great writer. Prolific, insane, gory and perverse, I’d wanted his film to be all that. Well, at least we still have Header. This was a surprise, since I’d stopped by The Turning Point to browse, and this was behind the cash waiting for me still in it’s wrapper with new disc smell and everything. Not for those of weak constitution as it has a really wild concept, but left the seasoned gore-hound and avid Lee reader in me wanting. This is one of those books that people are sore to recommend to friends and quick to point to as the sickest novel ever. The film, while B-horror for sure, is a perfect companion to the book.
