You only have to look behind you at who's underlined you.

It's weirdly difficult to compose while standing.  To think about what I am going to write and write it.  Thinking and standing is good, writing and standing is okay, but all three is new neural pathways, apparently.  And what I am writing has a higher spec proportion than what I usually write.  To wit:That there is a place where you can die and be guaranteed of not having an afterlife. That there is an afterlife elsewhere, where dead people hang out. That it is possible to stick around after you're dead by cramming yourself inside a tree.Super HypnosisManchurian Candidate super hypnosis.  Talia Winters getting out of Bab 5 super hypnosis.NinjaWhich is to say commandos who add some elements of disguise and above mentioned super-hypnosis in their repertoire. Also, ninja butterflies (TV TROPES LINK)Really grisly, bloody magic.Gods who can survive in the no-afterlife zone getting drunk on blood in fact.Tree monsters. It's a short story.  Anyone want to beta?  Particularly people for whom the words "Pine Province" mean nothing?

Anyway, there is that and also, as a list mostly for my own use, the stuff I'm going to do:Child Sword.  I wrote 30000 words.  I am going to keep as many as I can, even though the cast is cut to 5, the protagonist's background is totally different, the antagonist's motivation is also totally different, the structure, theme and concept behind it have shifted....  eeeyegh.  And then I'm going to keep going. If I can get one finished, there is at least one more to follow.  Maybe, it's even a trilogy.Sun, Seeds a Sickle and a Scythe.  I figured it out.  How to make the ending not fucked up.  Yet still very fucked up.  Just not fucked up in the unfortunate implications sort of way.  Though, again, how this works is kind of... ....  Well, when killing off the female lead this time makes the story less unfortunate in implication... yeah.Hare Water -  I am not done with you.  Not yet.MFP - Yaaarrrr!  So, Gem.  So, Swift.  So, Qualm... When are you scurvy dogs going to start barking again? Then there is the actual revision and submission of things I have already done.  I am going to do some heavy lifting on that this weekend, I hope.  So.  That's my week.  Con hangover hung on longer than usual, but I think I am back on planet grind.

Also!  Patti Smith!  Why has no one told me I must actually listen to her before?  Where do I begin?  That's not rhetorical...  If any of her fans live in my Flist, where do I begin?
