Patrick Tylee Hey Friends and Followers!

I'm so excited to announce the release of my first children's book, now available on Amazon.

Mrs. Tricker is Not Herself

A fourth grade boy suspects his teacher has changed since her vacation to Space Camp. He gathers proof, but no one will listen, not even his parents. Now Mrs. Tricker threatens to take him to the Space Camp in the forest. But he can change too, and sometimes that’s what saves you.

A sci-fi for mid-graders, the book includes bonus pages, with a WordSearch, Crossword Puzzle, and Mystery Questions. Plus another short story awaits the reader at the back of the book.

If you know of a child who's dealing with a major change in their life, this story can show them that they are not alone. Many kids suffer through overwhelming change, and they often come through it changed themselves. Please consider Mrs. Tricker is Not Herself as a book for your mid-grade reader.

My name's Michael Richardson.
My friends call me Mike. Don't have many, though. Just two, actually. But Tim's parents got divorced, so a lawyer took him into custody. Jimmy moved away over the summer. His dad got a job earning a jillion dollars a year, but they had to move up north where cars are made.

Jimmy told me about his dad's new job. He converts the assembly line work from people to automatic machines. His dad said, "Because machines work faster and don't call in sick or need lunch breaks." That makes sense, I guess. Jimmy's mom worried for the people who got replaced. But she couldn't show it in case his dad was watching.

I do that. I look normal in case people are watching me. Otherwise, I'm just myself. Without Tim, or Jimmy, nobody calls me Mike anymore.

I wrote this journal to keep an official record. Everyone should know the truth. I'm not making this up, even if it sounds like it. Since I'll document the details, even the crazy stuff will be true. It's down on paper.

If you find this, it’s because something terrible happened. Give this to the police or the mayor or somebody really tall. Maybe the president or your dad.

See, I discovered something freaky. I have to check it out, investigate it. If it’s not bogus, then there’ll be trouble.

Not that I’m in trouble, like kids get into, but grown-up trouble. You know, the kind when adults start whispering. It's bad when they yell, but it's way worse when they whisper.
Even more strange, it’s about a teacher. They never get in trouble.
They’re perfect.

Mine is, or was, anyway. Only now she’s different.
What I need to find out is,
is Mrs. Tricker really herself?
