Phablet or New Tablet?

I’ve been extremely crazy about technology since as far back as I can remember. I had the Sega playstation back in the day. It played both cartridges and CDs. It was a top of the line machine that I wore out from usage. I have used old fashioned word processors, when I first began writing stories (outside of school requirements), as a teen. Later, I bought my first cell phone at age 18 (when I started college). But, since then cell phones have really taken off with the advent of smart phones!

I currently have a cheap Chinese smart phone from a no-name brand. My phone often sticks and doesn’t work when I need it the most. Besides that, my SD card never saves anything, so I find myself frustrated when dealing with my cell phone to do marketing of my books via social media. I also have an older Acer A200 tablet that is on its last legs. Because of this, I’ve been considering buying a large phablet that would work for both purposes (phone/tablet). I find myself using my tablet less and less, and getting more and more frustrated with my cell phone (that I use 99% of the time. My phone is too small and my tablet is too big and heavy. Being an avid ebook reader is also another reason why I need a larger phone. There is nothing better than sitting in a waiting room and reading a good book (might I suggest my own?).So, although I’d love to deny it, I’m thinking I need to just bite the bullet, here by making a decision.

I’ve been trying to figure out what features I want, what price point I’m comfortable with, and what I should do exactly. I think, for now, I will continue to research which phones are the best for my needs, but I really think I need a change soon. I can’t keep going on the way I have been, with 1,001 technology related things to do a day, on the little device that I’ve been using. In fact, my eye doctor says that my eyes have been straining to read my little phone, so I had to recently up my prescription. That’s just NO BUENO, all around. Hence, I think I’m ready for a change, and I’m looking into making an educated decision about what smart phone/phablet best suits me…
