Widening the Circle | Eric D. Lehman Interviews L.M. Browning for The Wayfarer

The Artists’ Cooperative Gallery of Westerly hums with activity, clusters of buzzing voices gathering around paintings of boats and photographs of trees, chatting and laughing. Rows of chairs and a microphone wait for a poetry reading, generously called the “Poetry of the Earth.” Every one of the authors reading today is published by Leslie Browning’s press, Homebound Publications. At the center of it all is Leslie herself, graceful features hidden behind black rimmed glasses and long, wavy mouse-brown hair that shimmers gold in the harsh light of the art gallery.
