Going after Croaker - Snippet from Starrella Falls for #WeWriWa #Superheroes

I’m continuing the scene from: Starrella Falls, Book 2 in the Secret Supers, until the end of this chapter. Then, I’ll begin to post snippets from Book 3. You can read the first chapters of Starrella Falls HERE .
Background: Estelle and Toby are superheroes and their telepathic animal partners are Rockette, the flying mare, and Growler, the jaguar. Toby knocks out the wanted murderer, Croaker, and Mark Copper offers to take Croaker to the police station. Instead, Estelle and Toby discover Mark is driving north, probably to Dupree Air Base. Reckon he’s taking Croaker to the military jail.”
“Is that a problem?” Estelle asked as they walked across the campus. “Might be safer. Don’t know for sure. Zarnoths are sneaky.” “What about Rockette?” “She’s to follow and make sure Copper goes to Dupree.” Estelle relayed Toby’s instructions, and Rockette snorted, “Growler already told me.” Toby lengthened his stride until Estelle had to trot to keep pace. He did not stop until they reached the parking lot behind McTartan’s. He patted the handlebars of the motorcycle and looked at Estelle, “I’m going after Copper.”
